Sleeping Beauty (Thursday Class)

The story opens on the day before the 100 year spell is about to end. The animals surrounding the enchanted castle have been “in stasis” for all those years. They are eager for change and long to see the beautiful Briar Rose once again. They are startled by the entrance of a stranger – a fox- who attempts to make a meal out of a rabbit, but who is thwarted by the force field that is still in place. Things are further complicated by the return of Brunnhilde (the wicked “fairy”) and her trio of evil-do-ers. Brunnhilde is angry that her sisters interfered with her plans to kill Briar Rose (Sleeping Beauty) and she has come to finish the job. The animals send for the fairy-godmothers to help them. Will the animals succeed in saving the “Sleeping Beauty” for true love’s kiss to awaken or will Brunnhilde get her way?
