CRYSTAL THEATRE kicks off its new season with a gala concert featuring Hungarian opera singer Yvette Hintalan-Mondok singing arias from opera, operetta and Hungarian favorites not heard in the USA—including “A Csitári Hegyek Alatt”, “Melinda’s Aria” from Ferenc Erkel’s Bánk Bán and “Maria’s Cabaletta” from Hunyadi László . Miss Hintalan-Mondok was last seen here as the Princess in John The Valiant in 2014. Special guest artist is Crystal Theatre teacher Joseph Santaniello Jr who also performs a Hungarian aria from Bánk Bán—“Keserű bordal”—The Bitter Wine Song.
In addition, the concert presents musical excerpts from our upcoming season: Mother Holle, Sleeping Beauty & Living the American Dream. Tickets are $15 and the handicap-accessible theater is located at 66 Bayview Avenue in South Norwalk. Refreshments will be available as part of our fundraiser, including Hungarian cookies and wines as well as hot cider.
